Yin Yoga
This practice primarily targets the connective tissues of the body - ligaments, tendons and myofascia. Postures are held passively for several minutes in order to release tension to allow the joints to move through their full range.
Yin/Yang Yoga
The Yang element of this class will be a varied flow sequence, stretching, strengthening and toning muscle tissue. During the Yin practce, postures will be held passively for several minutes, influencing connective tissue and releasing joint tension.
Detox Yoga
The sequencing of this class will focus on stimulating the internal organs and glands of the body in order to increase circulation and flush the organs. Twists and forward bending along with kriyas (cleansing exercises), breathing techniques and Self awareness (consciousness) practices will be explored.
Ashtanga / Ashtanga Flow / Lunchtime Flow
This class will be drawn from the Ashtanga primary series, during which the standing elements are sequenced and varied through a flowing practice.
This is a Yang, muscle stretching, toning and strengthening class.
Fusion
Each class will be a unique sequence drawn from a variety of traditions including elemets from the Ashtanga, Vinyasa flow, Hatha and Yin (Taoist) practices.
